First, it is really very glad that I am not art critic so I can avoid lots of “ism” such as abstractionism, suprematism, realism, -ism, -ism, -ism...I prefer to talk about inner world of the artist and his/her art works as expressive form of deep thoughts, own attitude to the surrounding world, and the relation between subjects in real life. When we face the question of contemporary art and see art works that differ from realistic and impressionistic art works, many people proclaim the following phrase: “Even my son can do this!”. I can answer on this statement the following: “Yes, it does not look like something that we used to see around us. However, perhaps, it looks like what we used to feel around us. For example, energy, feelings, and emotions”. Of course, I can agree that “your son” can do it if he is out of the limits and stereotypes present in the society. A child is the most honest and pure human being. Actually, I know that exactly they can feel your mood, energy, spirit and they can understand abstract artists since they are on the same energetic level. Both of them are rather open in the current world. Abstractionism – I do not support abstract art for the sake of abstract art. In many cases artist is the person who uses abstract art as the expression of inner condition. For example, realist painter makes his/her works while looking at some objects. He works with color and form. If he has rather good level of skills, visually the art work looks very good. However, if this person is really very talented, he is also able to express invisible things due to help of visible ones, psychological statue of a person or object. Actually, really talented artist while painting visible things will show us the invisible things and statues. Cubist painter paints not only from what he sees, but also from what he knows. For example, “Pitcher” by Picassos is painted from different sides at the same time as well as from inside, that is, visible and invisible things are present in the painting. So it might be said that cubist expresses visible and invisible in reality through visible on the painting, thus, reflecting all forms and inner aspects of the object on the painting. Coming back to art works by Anatoliy Tertichniy, I should say that he is the artist who has very good and unique realistic school. He follows his own unique way in art and tries to express external energetic condition of those things he saw himself. While painting some object he reflects invisible, but felt in reality due to absolutely visible on the art work. Sometimes his art works include some realistic objects; sometimes they do not have them at all. However, his art works always reflect inner world, condition and energy of those depicted. Sometimes his art works at the beginning look realistic, but later they are absolutely abstract if talking about energetic level.
